Gorgeous Greenhouse weddings at Sefton Park Palm House
Can you imagine anything more beautiful than a wedding in a restored Victorian greenhouse? Its just so lush and green, with gorgeous tropical flowers, plants and ferns festooning the lovely building. Plus, the light is AMAZING, which might not sound exciting to you, but its something us photographers go all gooey over. It would also be the perfect backdrop for gorgeous bunting, colourful lanterns and festoon lighting, but would look equally stunning with no decoration at all. Just gorgeous.

Get married at one of Liverpool’s most iconic landmarks, St. Luke’s Bombed Out Church.
Oh this venue has my heart!! Once a huge, imposing church, this beautiful venue suffered catastrophic damage during the May Blitz of 1941, leaving only its external masonry standing. Overgrown and inaccessible, the site lay derelict for over 60 years, before being cleared, and transformed by a series of cultural events, reopening the space to the public. Having become an established venue for theatre, the site now stands as a testament to community spirit and a monument to the people of Liverpool, as well as being one of the UK’s most unusual wedding venues.
An unrivalled location, offering the most idyllic setting tucked away in the heart of Liverpool city centre. St Luke’s Bombed Out Church is a Grade II listed building which has been preserved to maintain its stunning architecture, offering a truly unique setting. You can opt for an open air ceremony, or a ceremony and reception under the stunning clear marquee- plus it offers absolutely STUNNING backdrops for your wedding photos.
I can’t wait to shoot Charlotte & Eliott’s wedding here in September!

A venue for Tea lovers- Leaf on Bold Street
What I love about Leaf is its lovely warm, friendly feel. So many venues can be a bit cold and corporate, but Leaf feels so cosy and intimate, and unpretentious. Leaf was founded on the love of tea and music- which is a pretty good basis if you ask me!
I love venues that are unpolished, a bit raw, and totally informal, and Leaf ticks all of those boxes. It’s a great space for live music, lots of dancing and quiet cosy chats in the corner, with amazing grub and a fab range of cocktails. What more could you want? It’s always my go-to spot for breakfast in Liverpool too, with amazing cooked brekkies and the best range of amazing teas you’ll see anywhere. Have a look at their lovely website here.

A church, but not as you know it- Ullet Road Unitarian Church
Now I wouldn’t ordinarily recommend a church. Let’s face it, they’re not often the most exciting places in the world. But Ullet Road Unitarian Church is different. The church itself is stunning, a big imposing Gothic building with the most incredible stained glass windows, perfect for more alternative Liverpool weddings. Your ceremony here can be totally personalised- during a wedding I shot here, the couple totally turned the idea of traditional hymns on its head and had their guests sing 80’s rock songs including Bon Jovi’s “Living On A Prayer”, accompanied by a string quartet. It was so funny, and absolutely everyone joined in. I’ve never laughed so much during a church ceremony in my life! Plus, it has a stunning village hall for your reception right next door, and Sefton Park is directly across the road- perfect for your epic couples shots!

A Victorian stunner with a community feel at The Florrie
The Florence Institute Trust or ‘The Florrie‘ as she is affectionately known, combines stunning Victorian architecture with 21st century design and community spirit.
As well as the stunning space, and the amazing work they do for charity, including community events, being a food hub and youth support hub, I absolutely love that when you get married at The Florrie, your names will be added to a plaque in the building to add to their ongoing history.
