A Beautiful, Relaxed Boho Wedding in Rivington

Can you believe how beautiful Maddy and Mike’s amazing wedding was? I know I’m still pinching myself that spending a day amongst the loveliest people at the incredible Spring Cottage Wedding Venue in Rivington is actually called work!

I was lucky enough to have this gorgeous wedding featured on Love My Dress too! Maddy and Mike fell in love with Spring Cottage the moment they saw it, and I did too- with a gorgeous marquee in the grounds, and the most amazing outdoor space with festoon lighting and fairy lights everywhere- so twinkly!!

If you’re ever nearby, you should definitely pop in for a coffee and a slice of cake in their café- it is just the perfect setting for a boho festival wedding. The picnic feast they enjoyed was epic- and very apt as Maddy and Mike’s third date was a picnic in Rivington.

An Outdoor First Dance

An absolute highlight for me, was Maddy and Mike’s stunning outdoor first dance- something they were both super nervous about (particularly Mike!) but they absolutely rocked it! They had a fantastic band who played absolutely off-the-hook tunes all day creating such a fun, relaxed vibe to the day and resulting in some pretty amazing shapes being pulled on the dance floor!

Getting Ready

I also absolutely loved bridal prep. Maddy had the most amazing bridal tribe helping her and her beautiful daughter get ready, and we all laughed so hard all morning! From dancing like loons to ABBA, to fashioning a device to keep Maddy’s amazing dress (which she designed herself, by the way!) clean and dry- using an IKEA bag (come to think of it, an oddly Swedish themed morning!) and a pair of scissors. It was such a fun way to start an awesome day!

Spring Cottage, Rivington is the PERFECT Relaxed Wedding Venue!

Maddy and Mike are both super organised people with near-legendary list making skills, but wanted to have a really chilled relaxed wedding, which they definitely achieved. Spring Cottage is perfect for a relaxed wedding with its hay-bale seating and festival vibes. They also chose the perfect florist to add colour to the day. Felicity Farm Flowers created beautiful rustic wildflower bouquets which complimented the day beautifully. They even created an incredibly cascading ceiling feature in the marquee which I couldn’t stop staring at! So beautiful!

Mike, who is a bit of a Lego fanatic, also made Lego corsages for the groomsmen, and the cutest Lego cake topper, which sat atop Maddy’s mums famous ‘Gold Cake’- a very delicious family favourite for generations. I just love how their day was so lovely and personal, and that they pulled together with friends and family to create an absolute bloody corker of a day! Enjoy your previews guys!
