Oh my god!! I had the best day playing at the seaside today with two of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet. Complete with arcade games, carousels and a stunning vintage Cadillac- this colourful, retro seaside wedding is a must see!

Getting Ready

Clare and her lovely bridesmaids has a gorgeous giggly morning getting ready at her dad’s house. Her lovely dad had set up a beautiful floral arch in the garden which was perfect for a few pre-wedding portraits! I arrived just in time for the last minute details, and was instantly welcomed in as part of the day. With gorgeous hair and make up by Unique, and stunning colourful flowers, Clare absolutely rocked a stunning lace gown complete with a totally rock n’ roll gold leather jacket, not to mention the most incredible nail art by Rose Tucker Beauty- including a little mini Stu painted on one of her nails! AMAZING! I just loved the ways that Clare included her late mum in her day too, with a beautiful little locket tied into her flowers, and a necklace, with ‘Love You Always’, written in her mum’s handwriting.

The Ceremony

The couple arrived to their ceremony in the most INCREDIBLE vintage Cadillac, rumoured to be once owned by Elvis, and to be the car he shot! They both smiled from ear to ear throughout the whole ceremony, and walked down the aisle grinning, even though the heaven’s had opened outside!

The Portraits

During their engagement shoot, Clare, Stu and I had made plans to explore all of the colourful, retro seaside goodness that Southport seaside has to offer- and boy, did we?! We had an absolute whale of a time wandering down the pier, playing games in the arcade (before we got kicked out anyway!!) and riding the carousel. They were even serenaded by Southport’s own Elvis impersonator! I absolutely love being able to get creative with portraits, and the fab seaside backdrops were so much fun to work with.

The Reception

Clare and Stu had their reception at The Bold Hotel in Southport, arriving in style in their chauffeur driven Cadillac once again! The couple had decorated the venue beautifully, decorating the tables with Gin and Whiskey bottles- something their friends and family apparently helped them collect plenty of!! Complete with twinkly lights and fab little polaroids of the newlyweds together, the tables looked fab. Their stunning cake was made by a friend, who, if you can believe it, had never made a wedding cake before! It was incredible! Following a gorgeous meal, Clare, Stu and their guests danced the night away.

Thanks so much to Clare and Stu having me, I absolutely loved your colourful, seaside wedding. There’s much more to come, but for now, enjoy your sneak peeks!
