OH MY GOD. This wedding is going to blow your mind! A big, fat, rainbow festival of wedding goodness at Field Good in Bath, with an incredible Wedding Cake Bake Off and ALLLLLLLL the dogs thrown in, just for good measure.

I mean, just look at those little sausages!!! Alicia and Dan invited me all the way to Bath as their festival wedding photographer, and I got to spend the weekend surrounded by amazing people, stunning sunsets and even took my lovely husband along to second shoot with me! How bloody lucky am I please?!?!

Bridechilla, not Bridezilla!

The whole day was incredibly relaxed. I have honestly never met a more chilled-out Bride and Groom! Alicia looked incredible in an awesome bridal jumpsuit from Whistles, just perfect for a festival wedding. They had no speeches, no first dance, and no sit down meal. They absolutely rocked their day their way!

Rather than a ceremony on the day, they had a gorgeous intimate ceremony at The Guildhall in Bath the day before, with only 23 of their nearest and dearest, meaning that their Saturday festival was all about the party! Alicia tells me that her only ‘bridezilla’ moment was insisting that she had to have the one metre wide glitter ball that hung, bedecked in rainbow bunting, from the roof of the marquee. But I mean, who wouldn’t turn bridezilla for that?!?

More Dogs at Weddings Please!

Of course, as well as the gorgeous bride and groom, the absolute stars of the day were their INSANELY CUTE dachshunds Daisy and Elsie (otherwise known as “The Sausages”). Dressed in the cutest “I Do Too!” collars and running around the field happily all day, each and every guest greeted them with the biggest smile. Their little legs must have been worn out for days afterwards! As Alicia is a dog walker, lots of their doggy pals joined them too- I was in cute and cuddly heaven!! More dogs at weddings please!!

My highlights from this COLOURFUL wedding at Field Good

The Great Wedding Bake Off!

As if dogs weren’t enough, there was more delicious cake than you could shake a stick at- the newlyweds held a “The Bone’s Great Wedding Bake Off”. So many lovely guests contributed their weird and wonderful cakey creations- you have never seen so many delicious treat one table; it was absolutely groaning!! The winner was a glorious Victoria sponge, complete with a handmade copper wire topper- just gorgeous!

There was also an incredible quiche cake, made by a friends’ mum, which Alicia told me about before the wedding, saying, “Honestly you haven’t lived until you’ve tried this quiche!”. It definitely lived up to the hype! They also served delicious street food, gorgeous local beers and ciders and had an incredible sweet table too, so not a soul went hungry that day. Definitely my kind of wedding!

The Most Beautiful Golden Hour

Needless to say, this festival wedding was an absolute corker. We were treated to the most incredible golden sunset over the surrounding corn fields, so of course we had to take advantage of for some evening portraits- much more glamorous than a certain ex-PM’s cornfield efforts obviously. Alicia and Dan, and my poor hubby, had to put up with my squeals of delight at the amazing evening light, but as you can see below, it was so worth it!! I’ll leave you to have a good ogle of their photos, which even if I say so myself, are a bit lovely. Enjoy!

“I have had so many guests comment on how lovely Rachel was and she really did just feel like one of our wedding guests, you didn’t even realise she was there taking photos! When we got our photos back I was blown away and cried so many happy tears, she had captured it all perfectly, we can’t stop looking at them! A truly lovely human and amazing photographer and we could not recommend her enough!”
