Bride and groom cuddle by the canal at their Manchester wedding

Fun, Vibrant Urban Wedding at Barca Bar, Castlefield- Manchester Wedding Photographer

Just look at these two- could they be any more gorgeous?  Zeina and Julian actually  got married in Canada, where they met, and until recently, lived. But with Julian originally hailing from the North-West and with family attending from all over the world (including Canada, Dubai and Lebanon- how cool is that?) they decided to have a great big happy Manchester party here in the UK. I’m so excited to share Zeina and Julian’s awesome wedding reception with you and feel bloody brilliant that they chose me as their Manchester wedding photographer. I can’t think about the day without smiling- I spent the whole thing grinning from ear to ear, and just had the best time- this Bride and Groom can certainly party!

Zeina and Julian chose Barca Bar, a cool urban venue in Castlefield, Manchester for their reception, a gorgeous space with a private balcony that was perfect for their eclectic mix of family and friends. It was beautifully decorated with floral arrangements by Pansie Potters and the cutest photos of the bride and groom! The venue sits on a lock on the Manchester Ship Canal, which formed a beautiful backdrop for some epic couple portraits!

Zeina and Julian had a really clear idea of what they wanted their reception to be- a fun, vibrant coming together of two families, several nationalities and all of their friends, and I feel very lucky that they chose me to capture the crazy fun for them. Their friendly, ever-smiling demeanor is infectious, and my face ached from smiling and laughing with them all afternoon- mostly due to the epic shapes that were cut on the dance floor ( I never knew Lebanese dancing was SOOOO energetic!) It certainly helped that the music was awesome- with Julian himself even DJ-ing his own set later in the evening- as well as competing in regular dance-offs- most awesome groom ever?

Another bloody brilliant moment was Zeina’s cousin, who had travelled from Lebanon, singing beautifully for the couple, an extremely emotional moment for the whole family. i may or may not have cried along with them! To be honest, this is pretty standard, I’m a sentimental old fool.

Huge thanks to Zeina and Julian for choosing me as your Manchester wedding photographer. I loved every minute of it! Keep partying hard!
