Well, what a EFFING AWESOME year that was! I couldn’t be more excited to show you my lovely little roundup of fun 2018 wedding photography. It’s my favourite way to start a new year, because it’s a lovely little opportunity to say hello to couples past and present, and, of course, as January is always a mad month of wedding planning for so many of you, attract new amazing couples into the Rachel Burt Photography family too!
I’ll be sharing oodles of fantastic wedding planning tips over the next few weeks on my Instagram and Facebook, but for now, sit back and relax, and enjoy the wonderful madness that has been my 2018.
2018- A Year of fun, festival weddings and fabulous memories
So I said that this post was my favourite way to start the year. I’m a couple of weeks late I know, but it has been an absolute mission trying to choose my favourite shots. They’re all my favourites for one reason or another, because each of them brings back a memory of a bloody wonderful year. I love the shots that are super-fun- those little magic moments of fun, joy and love. For me, its so important that my fun wedding photography style shines through- I want you to be able to totally understand my mad vibe from this little couple-of-minute clip. I want you to be able to share those lovely little moments and memories that made me smile from ear to ear as I rediscovered them.
That’s the glorious thing about photography. Couples so often tell me of the moment they got their photos back, and they laughed and cried and shrieked and shouted- because each frame reminds them of a specific moment or feeling, or shows them a little piece of their wedding day that they didn’t see themselves. I always wish I could be a fly on the wall of the room when a couple sees their photos for the first time!
I felt just like that looking back on this year. There were so many amazing moments I’d totally forgotten and was thrilled to rediscover and so many hilarious times I loved laughing at again. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again- I really do have the best job in the world.
So, without further ado, I’ll share the photos that made ME laugh, cry, scream and shout (yes, I really am that dramatic, you just kind of have to go with it!) when I took them- those moments which really stood out to me. There’s all sorts of emotions in there, as well as amazing décor, some stunning portraits and the odd crazy dance move or two of course! There’s crazy fun wedding photography, oodles of colour, relaxed vibes and more wonderful people than you can shake a stick at- grab a cuppa and click play- enjoy, and let me know what you think in the comments!
