Oh Me Oh My is one of my absolute favourite Liverpool wedding venues. It’s stunning, warm and cosy space is perfect for quirky Liverpool weddings.

Plus that view of the docks just can’t be beaten and the food is incredible! So of course, this made it perfect for Beth and Ben, who are huge foodies! Their obsession with good food is so far-reaching that it was mentioned in each and every speech several times, and is even the reason they got together in the first place, bonding over crumpets after meeting at a Morrison’s Christmas party!

Food Glorious Food

This love of gorgeous grub also shone out through their choice of favours- Ben’s family is Malaysian, and they flew in with a suitcase full of delicious Malaysian ingredients to make beautiful curry kits for each of their guests to make a delicious Malaysian curry at home- such a lovely, personal touch!

A Relaxed Liverpool Wedding

This pair are two of the loveliest, warmest and most friendly people you could ever hope to meet, so their extensive guest list came as no surprise! Oh Me Oh My is perfect for large and small weddings, so it was a perfect location for their large, international guest list. Beth told me before the wedding: “We want our day to feel relaxed, full of music, dancing, eating and drinking! We are most excited for getting everyone on the dance-floor. We’ve got friends and family from all over the world coming, and we can’t wait to show them what a special place Liverpool is!”

Let’s Get The Party Started…

Wow, did this lot know how to party! The party atmosphere began early, with some bubbles and lots of laughs at bridal prep, followed by a sing-a-long at Liverpool Town Hall during their ceremony, accompanied by Lauren and Michael, an duo from New Power Soul Club. My face absolutely ached from smiling and singing- it was such an incredible moment! Then it was out for the biggest whole group & confetti shot I’ve ever done (just check out their confetti faces below!) before wandering over to Oh Me Oh My for their reception.

An Autumnal Wedding at Oh Me Oh My, Liverpool

The beautiful, bright autumnal tones that Beth and Ben chose for their flowers and decor were perfect for their late September wedding, and Karen McGrath Flowers did an absolutely incredible job- so many gorgeous blooms! Their table centres were really cute- personalised records of their favourite songs- even if one did have an unfortunate incident with a candle! The twinkly light of Oh Me Oh My created a lovely cosy atmosphere- this beautiful venue just made my job so easy!

And then, more food of course!

Food was a huge feature of the day, and the tables absolutely groaned with incredible sharing platters, which guests tucked into eagerly. They definitely made sure that their guests were well fed with a doughnut wall, cake and cheese tower too! They had lots of speeches, which were all extremely moving, and beautifully performed, as well as absolutely hilarious! I absolutely loved that Beth’s mum and Beth herself made a speech too- in her words, why should men do all the talking? I love a bride with sass!

Portraits with a view

We headed out for portraits a little late on, heading over to Exchange Square (and THAT green door) and of course, up onto the incredible Oh Me Oh My roof terrace, which has some of the best views of Liverpool. This stylish pair told me that they were always awkward in front of the camera, but actually, as you can see below, the camera bloody loved them! They were so loved up they made my job super easy, and the city of Liverpool did us proud with its amazing backdrops too. I absolutely love a city wedding, and this one was no exception!

Party time!

Of course, as the evening went on, the dance floor was absolutely jumping, accompanied by live band Groove Anatomy. There were some incredible dance moves, a dance off, and lots of shots-just the best fun. Thank you so much for having me along Beth and Ben, I loved every moment of capturing your day. Here are a few of my favourites…

Thank you so, so much for our photos. We looked at them last night and didn’t go to bed until gone midnight, as we couldn’t stop going through them, haha! You have done such a good job of capturing our special day… I have no idea how you do it, you are so talented! We will cherish the photos forever.”
