A Colourful Sefton Park Palm House Engagement Shoot

Liverpool engagement Photographer

What can I say about this Sefton Park Palm House engagement shoot? It really was the best fun! Ruth & Bailey live in Northern Ireland, but Liverpool is a place close to both of their hearts, as demonstrated by Bailey’s incredible tattoos which feature the city. They get married next month at the Liver Buildings, but during a little (slightly extended) visit to Liverpool- who knew you had to be a ‘resident’ in England for seven days to get a wedding licence here?!?- we met up and captured their fun, relaxed engagement shoot.

A Sefton Park Palm House Engagement Shoot

To contrast with the urban, city centre vibes of the wedding they chose the stunningly beautiful Sefton Park and the STUNNING Sefton Park Palm House- what an absolute dream venue!! We got to shoot beneath a myriad of tropical plants and palm trees in an historic Victorian orangery- just absolute photographer’s bliss, I can tell you! As a bit of a botanical nerd, and a self confessed |Crazy Plant Mum, I was in my element.

As well as the Palm House, we wandered amongst the wandering maze of paths in Sefton Park, taking in the fabulous scenery and enjoying hilarious chats about Buckfast and other lethal alcoholic beverages. We chatted and put the world to rights, getting to know each other. We waxed lyrical about their amazing Liverpool wedding plans, and stopped for a bit of a kiss and cuddle every now and then (them, not me!). This lovely pair were so natural together and so in love. I absolutely adore how this love shines out of their photos, even in spite of the fact that Bailey was admirably battling the effect of awful Hayfever! What an absolute trooper!

So much colour!

As a fun, colourful wedding photographer, this pair were an absolute dream to shoot. As you can see from Ruth’s stunning purple hair, these two love colour as much as me, and were totally up for hunting for crazy colourful backdrops, which the Palm house has in spades. I absolutely can’t wait to hunt for more colourful spots for their wedding photos in a month or two’s time! I can tell you now, their wedding is going to be SO MUCH FUN, and I can’t wait! See you in October!

Why you should book an Engagement Shoot!

If you’re thinking of having a Sefton Park Engagement Shoot, or anywhere else for that matter, my advice would be to just go for it! They’re a great way for us to get to know each other before your wedding and for you to get comfortable in front of my camera, plus you get some fun photos, and get to spend an afternoon having a cuddle and a giggle together! You can read more about why you should book an engagement shoot here. I always think it’s nice to go somewhere you feel at home and like to hang out, so Liverpool was perfect for Ruth & Bailey.
