So, let’s deal with the obvious first. We have to chat out this gorgeous pair’s amazing array of body art. This gorgeous tattooed Bride and Groom absolutely rocked their Lancashire wedding, their stunning tattoos complimented perfectly with their incredible outfits. I bloody LOVE Chrissy’s Kula Tsurdiu dress and veil- simple but beautiful with gorgeous lace details. John looked properly dapper in a Ted Baker suit, complete with a pocket watch and chain. So cool!

When I first spoke to Chrissy about her wedding, it was clear from the outset that the biggest thing for them wasn’t the wedding itself, but becoming husband and wife. She said, on more than one occassion: “I just can’t wait to be Mrs Shields!”. So cute!

Both the bride and groom are ex-military, and Chrissy is training hard as a veterinary student, so the couple were keen to keep things simple- getting married in the gorgeous Wyre Civic Hall, in Poulton-Le-Fylde, Lancashire, and then celebrating with family and friends at a local restaurant. Their absolute priority was to be married to each other- the pair are so obviously absolutely in love- proper soulmates- and their beautiful personalised vows were the sweetest thing. Enough to bring a tear to anybody’s eye, but the big sentimental fool that I am, the tears were rolling down my cheeks.

Chrissy & John’s family and friends had travelled from from all over the country to be part of their day, and I loved watching them all mingle and get to know each other in the beautiful grounds of the venue, sipping prosecco in the sunshine!

It was an absolute privilege to be part of their gorgeous day, and I loved every minute of celebrating with you both and your lovely friends and family. Huge, big, sloppy congratulations to you both!
